Lowden S-32

The Lowden S-32 from the renowned Original Series combines traditional Irish guitar making with exceptional sound quality and modern manufacturing precision. The compact S-body shape is one of Lowden’s most popular designs and impresses with its fast response, enormous dynamics and an exceptionally finely resolved overtone spectrum.

Equipped with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, the Lowden S-32 delivers an impressively balanced sound with a tight bass foundation, clear mids and brilliant highs. Fingerstyle players and recording musicians in particular appreciate the enormous transparency and exceptional tone separation of these models. In terms of sound, this guitar definitely belongs to the top class of modern high-end acoustic guitars.

The Lowden S-32 is also visually at the highest level. The typical Lowden rosette made of rosewood, sycamore, walnut and mahogany as well as the grained sycamore binding give the guitar a very elegant and sophisticated look. The five-piece mahogany rosewood neck also ensures high stability and a very pleasant playing feel.

The overall condition is very good. There are only a few minor traces of use. The guitar was originally fitted with a pickup, which has since been removed. There is therefore still a small holder for the cable routing inside. In addition, the hole for the strap pin was drilled slightly larger at the time. However, this is not a problem, especially if a pickup is to be installed again. A suitable pin has already been fitted for the larger hole.

The original Lowden case is present. The fabric on the inner compartment has come loose. Externally, the case shows some signs of wear and tear.

The guitar has been carefully checked and optimally adjusted by us. The neck curvature and string action are perfectly adjusted so that the Lowden S-32 can be played cleanly and without buzzing across the entire fingerboard.

The string action is 2.25 mm on the low E-string and 1.75 mm on the high E-string, measured at the 12th fret.
