The 2023 Martin 000-28 Brooke Ligertwood Signature Edition is an exceptional special-edition model developed in collaboration with New Zealand Grammy Award winner Brooke Ligertwood. It is based on the legendary Martin 000-28, enhanced with premium features and classic vintage elements inspired, among other things, by the well-known signature models of Eric Clapton and Paul Simon. <\/p>\n
Sonically, the guitar impresses with a VTS-treated Sitka spruce top combined with East Indian rosewood for the back and sides. The Vintage Tone System ensures a particularly fast and open response and gives the instrument a mature, well-played-in character right out of the factory. The compact 000 body shape delivers a balanced tone with excellent dynamics and clarity, making it equally suited for fingerstyle and strumming. <\/p>\n
Visually, too, this model ranks among the most extraordinary modern Martin guitars. The classic sunburst finish harmonizes beautifully with the multi-layer maple binding, the intricately designed abalone rosette, and the “Diamonds and Squares” abalone fretboard inlays. The signature inlay at the 20th fret rounds out the exclusive look. <\/p>\n
The guitar is equipped with a high-quality LR Baggs Anthem pickup system. The combination of a microphone and a piezo pickup captures the acoustic character very naturally and dynamically, making the guitar ideal for both stage and studio use. <\/p>\n
It is in absolutely like-new condition. The frets are also in like-new condition. There is only one small dent in the top, located on the right side above the soundboard, near the binding.<\/p>\n
We carefully set up every guitar. We adjust the neck radius and string action to ensure that the guitar plays cleanly, comfortably, and without buzzing across the entire fretboard. <\/p>\n
The string action is 2.7 mm on the low E string and 2.1 mm on the high e string, measured at the 12th fret.<\/p>\n
