The Lowden O12C from the year 2000 comes from a particularly esteemed phase of the renowned Irish Lowden manufactory. In the early 2000s, the instruments were still produced in very small numbers and with the highest level of precision craftsmanship. To this day, connoisseurs consider these guitars to be exceptionally consistent in terms of quality, workmanship and sound. <\/p>\n
Equipped with a Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the Lowden O12C delivers an exceptionally balanced, open and very clear sound. The response is fast, the dynamics excellent and the tone separation impressive. Fingerstyle players in particular appreciate this combination for its transparency and enormous resolution of detail. In terms of sound, this instrument is definitely one of the stronger guitars in its class. <\/p>\n
Typical for Lowden, this O12C also impresses with a very resonant basic character and an extremely harmonious interplay of the individual frequency ranges. The guitar reacts extremely sensitively to different velocities and therefore offers a very lively playing feel. <\/p>\n
A Fishman Matrix pickup is installed and transmits the natural sound very convincingly. This also makes the guitar ideal for the stage and studio. <\/p>\n
The overall condition is good. The guitar shows many minor traces of use, but no cracks, breaks or other structural damage. The frets are in very good condition. The original case is also present. Only the fabric on the inner compartment has come loose a little. <\/p>\n
The guitar has been carefully checked and optimally adjusted by us. The neck curvature and string action are perfectly adjusted so that the Lowden O12C can be played cleanly and buzz-free across the entire fretboard. <\/p>\n
The string action is 2.7 mm on the low E-string and 1.7 mm on the high E-string, measured at the 12th fret.<\/p>\n
