The La Canada 115 is a concert guitar that takes up the heritage of the historic Torres instruments and continues it with modern craftsmanship. This model is based on a guitar from the so-called “Second Epoch”, played by T\u00e1rrega’s master student Emilio Pujol, among others. The historical models were examined and measured in detail by the renowned luthier Edmund Bl\u00f6chinger; based on his construction plans, Wolfgang Jellinghaus produces guitars in a small workshop that are exceptionally close to the originals in terms of sound and aesthetics. <\/p>\n
This example was built in 2021 and is in mint condition, as the previous owner played the guitar very little and treated it extremely carefully. The workmanship is excellent, the choice of tonewoods first-class and the shellac finish applied entirely by hand gives the La Canada 115 both a noble appearance and optimum resonance. <\/p>\n
The solid Alpine spruce top ensures a quick response, clear projection and a fine resolution of the overtones. The granadillo body complements this with warmth, depth and a colorful sound that works excellently in both solo and ensemble playing. The cedro neck, combined with the ebony fingerboard, offers stability and a pleasantly direct playing feel. The De Jonge machine heads run precisely and reliably. Overall, the La Canada 115 has a finely balanced sound aesthetic that combines traditional Spanish construction with modern precision. <\/p>\n
