For sale is a rare 2001 Gibson Nick Lucas Reissue. This model is a tribute to Nick Lucas, one of the true pioneers of the guitar world. With its deep body, solid spruce top, and flamed maple back and sides, this guitar delivers rich, powerful bass and a well-balanced tone between highs and mids – perfect for folk and blues.

The 14-fret mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and classic sunburst finish give the guitar a beautiful vintage aesthetic. The deep body of the 00 model, combined with scalloped bracing, offers the tonal depth and punch of a dreadnought in a more compact format. Nick Lucas inlays on the fingerboard, the firestripe pickguard, and the classic Gibson logo complete the guitar’s stunning look.

A special highlight of this guitar is the custom bridge modification. The original rosewood bridge was replaced with a specially crafted bridge made of Digory – an innovative material that closely resembles real ivory in texture and appearance. Digory provides the same elegant look and silky smoothness as the original material while ensuring excellent tonal transfer. The cost of a custom-made Digory bridge is around €1000. Furthermore, the saddle and bridge pins were replaced with genuine mammoth ivory, enhancing both the guitar’s aesthetics and its resonance. The sustain is long, the response immediate, and the tone warm and full.

Over its 23 years, this guitar has been played extensively, giving it a beautiful vintage appearance. There are signs of playwear, including scratches, small dings, and fine lacquer cracks, all of which add to its character. Technically, it is in perfect condition with no cracks or structural damage. The frets show light playwear but remain fully playable. The low action ensures excellent playability.
