Description

For sale is a legendary Gibson J-200 from 1962 – one of the most iconic years in Gibson’s history, during which some of the finest guitars ever made were crafted.

This guitar features an impressive appearance, further accentuated by the elegant double pickguard. The three-piece maple neck with a center strip offers both excellent playability and aesthetics. Tonally, the J-200 amazes with its full, balanced sound, warm mids, and clear highs – delivering an unparalleled playing experience.

Extensive professional work was carried out by the renowned Guitar Doc Berlin to bring the guitar to its best possible condition. The work included refretting, replacement of the nut, and the removal of the Tune-O-Matic bridge with the installation of a fixed bone saddle.

The guitar is overall in very good condition. The bass side rim was replaced long ago, and the work was executed with great care. Additionally, there is a longer crack on the opposite rim, which has also been professionally repaired. Thanks to the comprehensive restoration, the guitar offers excellent playability with a low string action that leaves nothing to be desired.

The guitar comes with its original Lifton case. The handle of the case is broken, but overall, the condition is very good. For secure shipping or transport, a Lifton Historic Vintage Case is also included.
