For sale is a 2008 Collings D1 – a true classic from the renowned Collings workshop. The D1 is one of the most popular models from the Austin, Texas-based manufacturer and offers everything you would expect from a high-end dreadnought: powerful tone, outstanding craftsmanship, and impressive dynamics. It is especially praised for its remarkable clarity, maintaining transparency even under heavy strumming. This makes it a perfect choice for singer-songwriters, bluegrass flatpickers, or anyone seeking a bold and articulate instrument.

Built in 2008, this guitar is in very good condition for its age, with only minor signs of play. The frets show minimal wear, and the action is comfortably low (E = 3mm, e = 2mm), enhancing the already excellent playability of the D1.

The guitar is equipped with a professionally installed L.R. Baggs iBeam pickup system combined with the L.R. Baggs iMix preamp. This setup delivers an impressively natural amplified tone with great clarity and excellent feedback resistance – ideal for both stage and studio use. Volume and blend controls are discreetly mounted inside the soundhole. The original installation cost was nearly €500.
