A baritone has to growl, especially in the lower registers. The choice of wood is therefore crucial. Wonderfully grained birdseye maple was selected for this Avalon body. This gives the guitar a clear, well-defined sound that emphasizes every note precisely. Maple is also known for its good sustain properties, which, together with the longer scale length, helps the notes resonate longer and produce a fuller sound. The best Adirondack spruce was used for the top, whose characteristic sound qualities, including clarity, dynamics, and warmth, in combination with the maple body, produce an expressive and powerful tone.

Beautiful, tasteful details such as the rosewood inlays around the body and fingerboard, the 5-piece rosette, and the rosewood headstock round off the attractive appearance of this instrument. The guitar is in almost mint condition. The original case, which did not fit too well and was of rather poor quality, was replaced by an Ameritage Luxury Case.
