Here for sale from our range is a fantastic Atkin guitar. The first owner of this guitar was the Scottish folk and rock musician Eddie Reader. The guitar can be seen in several live performances. This Atkin guitar was custom-built by the successful guitar manufacturer “Atkin Guitars” especially for Eddie Reader. Alister Atkin personally took the order and worked with Eddie to fine-tune the final characteristics of the guitar. The result is a handy small jumbo guitar with a powerful sound and great playability.

The guitar has toured all over the world and has taken quite a beating in the process. The numerous “dings” and “dongs” as well as the great “checking” make the guitar look simply fantastic. The slightly larger crack at the bottom left has been expertly repaired and is absolutely stable. Eddie Reader has retrofitted a B Band pickup to make the guitar suitable for the stage. A real piece of music history.
