Martin HD-28 Dierks Bentley

Up for sale is a Martin HD-28 Dierks Bentley Signature Custom – a special custom signature dreadnought developed in collaboration with multi-platinum country singer Dierks Bentley. Bentley, known for his unique blend of bluegrass and modern country, is a longtime Martin player. This guitar is based on the legendary HD-28 and has been given individual features that emphasize its character.

The solid Adirondack spruce top provides a clear, powerful tone with excellent dynamics. The combination with the solid East Indian rosewood for the back and sides produces a full, balanced sound with rich basses and brilliant trebles. The forward-shifted X-bracing enables an impressive resonance and fast response. Visually, the guitar stands out with its eye-catching herringbone binding in red, white and blue and the Phoenix inlay on the 12th fret – a tribute to Bentley’s home town of Phoenix, Arizona.

The solid mahogany neck with a modified V-profile is comfortable to hold and offers a classic Martin playing feel. The 645 mm scale length in combination with the flat string action ensures excellent playability. A Plek setup ex works guarantees precise intonation and an optimal playing feel.

The overall condition of the guitar is very good, but there are some superficial traces of use that give the instrument an authentic patina.
In addition, some oxygen has been absorbed into the varnish at the fingerboard joint on the neck and at the marking points – a phenomenon that occasionally occurs with Martin guitars. This is a purely visual detail without any effect on the stability or sound of the guitar.
