Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 Madagascar Rosewood

Here we offer a Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS Madagascar – a guitar that is uncompromisingly based on Martin’s legendary pre-war dreadnoughts. The model is based on the D-28s from 1937, one of the most important years in the company’s history, and has been crafted with the greatest possible historical fidelity: traditional dovetail neck joint with hot glue, hand-carved forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing and an authentic neck profile.
The top is made of Adirondack spruce with Martin’s Vintage Tone System (VTS), which gives the instrument a recorded, open sound even when new. High-quality Madagascar Rosewood was used for the back and sides – an exclusive and sonically impressive choice that comes very close to the sound of the legendary Rio rosewood. The sound of this D-28 is powerful, full and clear – with broad dynamics, articulate highs, rich mids and deep, warm basses. Exactly what you want from a pre-war replica.
The guitar is in very good condition. There are only slight signs of wear on the pickguard and on the frets, which reflect the normal signs of use of a well-maintained instrument. The string spacing is currently 3 mm (low E-string) and 2.25 mm (high E-string) at the 12th fret – ideal for comfortable playing.
