Martin Custom Shop Size 2

The Martin Custom Shop Size 2 is a particularly rare and historic design from C. F. Martin. Instruments of this size belong to the classic parlor guitars and are only very rarely made today – especially in this high-quality Custom Shop version.

The instrument offered here dates from 2024 and is in absolutely mint condition. The guitar looks fresh from the store and shows no signs of use. The workmanship, choice of materials and overall impression are at the highest level, as you would expect from the Martin Custom Shop.

The compact Size-2 design with 12-fret neck-body transition ensures a very direct response and a remarkably dynamic sound development. This design really comes into its own in the fingerstyle range and offers an exceptionally fine response with a surprisingly large sound volume.

The sound is provided by a high-quality combination of solid Adirondack spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood for the back and sides. This combination of woods delivers a clear, open and very balanced tone with brilliant highs, stable mids and an impressive depth for a guitar of this size. The guitar reacts sensitively to the finest nuances of touch and offers outstanding dynamics.

Visually, the instrument is based on classic Martin details. Herringbone purfling, antique white binding, a multi-stripe rosette and abalone inlays in the Diamonds & Squares long pattern give the guitar an elegant, timeless appearance. The mahogany neck with modified low oval profile ensures very comfortable and modern playability.

The guitar comes with its original TKL hard case, Certificate of Authenticity and TFOA passport.
