Martin 0028VS Custom Shop 2012 – Adirondack & Madagascar Rosewood

The Martin 0028VS Custom Shop 2012 is an outstanding example of the master craftsmanship of the Martin Custom Shop. Made from first-class tonewoods and built with great precision craftsmanship, it combines historic Martin features with modern playing comfort.

The solid Adirondack spruce top in combination with back and sides made of high-quality Madagascar Rosewood delivers a balanced, warm sound with a clear response – ideal for fingerstyle, but also ideal for strumming. Thanks to its 12-fret construction and Golden Era bracing with scalloped Adirondack bracing, the Martin 0028VS Custom Shop offers impressive resonance and plenty of volume despite its compact body size.

A special highlight is the Madagascar Rosewood binding – a real rarity on Martin guitars, which usually use plastic. Other exclusive features include the bridge and nut made of fossil mammoth ivory, the full hide-glue finish and the finest tonewoods in all components. The elaborate rope-style inlay, the Style 45 rosette and the slotted headstock make this Martin 0028VS Custom Shop a visual and tonal work of art.

The Performing Artist neck, the short scale length and a comfortable nut width of 44.5 mm offer an excellent playing feel. The vintage toner on the top emphasizes the classic aesthetic. The condition is excellent – only minimal traces of playing are visible. It comes in the original Martin Custom Shop case from TKL.
