Up for sale is a legendary Gibson J-200 from 1962 – one of the most iconic years in Gibson’s history, when some of the best guitars of all time were built.

This guitar has an impressive look, which is further emphasized by the elegant double pickguard. The three-piece maple neck with a center strip provides a great playing feel and aesthetics in equal measure. In terms of sound, the J-200 impresses with its full, balanced tone, warm mids and clear highs – an incomparable playing experience.

Extensive professional work was carried out at the renowned Guitar Doc Berlin to restore the guitar to its best possible condition. The following work was carried out:

– Re-bonding
– Replacement of the saddle
– Removal of the Tune-O-Matic bridge and installation of a fixed bone bar insert

The guitar is in very good overall condition. The frame on the bass side was replaced a long time ago, and the work was carried out extremely carefully. There is also a slightly longer crack on the other side, also professionally repaired. Thanks to the extensive restoration work, the guitar offers excellent playability with a flat string action that leaves nothing to be desired.

The guitar comes in its original Lifton case. The handle of the case is broken, but the overall condition is very good. A Lifton Historic Vintage Case is also included for safe shipping or transportation.
