Product Description

The 2005 Gibson L-130 is a relatively rare model from Gibson’s Montana factory. With its comfortable Auditorium body shape, it combines classic Gibson aesthetics with an interesting combination of woods, setting it apart from the brand’s better-known Round-Shoulder and Jumbo models.

In terms of tone, the Gibson L-130 impresses with a balanced, clear, yet warm sound. The combination of Sitka spruce and bubinga for the back and sides ensures a direct response, beautiful string separation, and a balanced blend of powerful mids, defined bass, and clear highs. Thanks to its more compact Auditorium body shape, the guitar responds very sensitively to touch and is ideal for fingerstyle and picking, while still offering enough volume and dynamic range for more vigorous strumming.

The guitar is equipped with an active Fishman pickup system, making it ideally suited for amplified use on stage or in the studio.

Overall, it’s in good condition. The guitar has been played and shows some minor dents and dings, as well as the usual signs of use. The frets are in very good condition. It plays exceptionally well.

We carefully set up every guitar. We adjust the neck radius and string action to ensure that the guitar plays cleanly, comfortably, and without buzzing across the entire fretboard.

The string action is an excellent 2.1 mm on the low E string and 1.7 mm on the high e string, measured at the 12th fret.
