Martin 00-18V

The 2008 Martin 00-18V is part of the popular Vintage Series and is modeled after the classic pre-war Martin models. With its Modified-V neck profile, traditional construction, and high-quality materials, it captures the playing feel and character of the legendary vintage Martins, combined with the reliability of a modern instrument.

The combination of a solid spruce top and solid mahogany for the back and sides produces the typical warm, direct, and wonderfully balanced Martin sound. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptionally beautiful spruce top with its even and elegant grain, which also gives this guitar a very special visual appeal.

The small 00 body style responds very quickly and impresses with its dynamic range, clear highs, warm mids, and an astonishingly full bass foundation. Despite its compact size, the Martin 00-18V produces a surprisingly expansive sound and is ideal for fingerstyle, blues, folk, and powerful strumming. The Modified-V neck profile delivers an authentic vintage playing feel and is particularly prized by many Martin enthusiasts.

Overall, the guitar is in very good condition with the usual signs of wear. There is a small chip on the side of the body near the low E string, caused by bumping it against the edge of a table. The area was professionally filled in by our luthier. Technically, the guitar is, of course, in perfect working order. The frets are also in very good, nearly like-new condition.

We carefully set up every guitar. The neck radius and string action are adjusted to perfection, ensuring that the Martin 00-18V plays cleanly, comfortably, and without buzzing across the entire fretboard.

The string action is 2.8 mm on the low E string and 1.8 mm on the high e string, measured at the 12th fret.
