With the Banner series, Gibson is reviving the legendary acoustic guitars of the 1940s, staying true to the historical originals down to the last detail. The Gibson 1942 Banner Southern Jumbo Vintage Sunburst combines the unmistakable vintage character of the Banner Era with modern craftsmanship of the highest caliber.

The combination of a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides produces a big, open, and extremely dynamic sound. True to Gibson’s style, the Southern Jumbo impresses with warm, woody mids, a powerful bass foundation, and pleasantly rounded highs. At the same time, the Adirondack top adds clarity, headroom, and tremendous dynamics. An impressively resonant Gibson with plenty of character and excellent projection, it delights whether you’re strumming or playing fingerstyle.

The guitar is in very good condition, with only minimal signs of wear. It is in excellent condition. The frets are also in like-new condition.

We carefully set up every guitar. We adjust the neck radius and string action to ensure that the guitar plays cleanly, comfortably, and without buzzing across the entire fretboard.

The string action is 3.0 mm on the low E string and 2.2 mm on the high e string, measured at the 12th fret.
