The Atkin LG-47 The Forty Seven is one of the most popular models from the English Atkin manufactory and is based on classic vintage folk guitars in terms of both sound and appearance. Atkin has built up an excellent reputation in recent years and stands for handmade instruments with an authentic vintage character and exceptional sound quality.

The Atkin LG-47 The Forty Seven is equipped with a solid, thermally treated Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. This tried and tested combination of woods ensures a very balanced, open sound with a quick response and pleasant warmth. This model shows its strengths particularly in fingerstyle and flatpicking and impresses with its clarity, dynamics and fine differentiation.

The artificially aged finish emphasizes the vintage character and gives the guitar a very harmonious look. This makes the Atkin LG-47 The Forty Seven look like an instrument that has been played in over the years, without sacrificing the stability and reliability of a modern guitar.

The guitar was made in 2022 and is in good overall condition. There are age-appropriate traces of playing, which blend in very harmoniously with the intended aging. There is a slightly larger pressure mark on the back, which is purely visual and does not affect the function of the instrument.

The guitar has been carefully checked and optimally adjusted by us. The neck curvature and string action are perfectly adjusted so that the Atkin LG-47 The Forty Seven can be played cleanly and without buzzing across the entire fretboard.
