The Bourgeois D Vintage Touchstone is one of the most exciting dreadnought models in the modern high-end range and combines traditional construction with the highest level of manufacturing precision. Dana Bourgeois has been one of the world’s most renowned guitar makers for decades, and his instruments enjoy an excellent reputation for sound, dynamics and workmanship.
The Touchstone series is created in close collaboration with Eastman and combines the construction principles developed by Dana Bourgeois with carefully selected tonewoods. The aim is to implement the typical Bourgeois sound and character in a more accessible line – with impressive results.
The Bourgeois D Vintage Touchstone is equipped with an Alaskan Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. This classic combination delivers a powerful, balanced sound with a deep bass foundation, clear trebles and very good projection. The solid construction and details such as herringbone binding and mother-of-pearl diamond inlays underline the high-quality overall impression and ensure a very clear, defined response.
In addition, an LR Baggs Anthem pickup is installed, which transmits the acoustic sound very naturally and dynamically and is ideal for stage and studio.
The guitar was built in 2023 and was purchased new in December 2024. It is in very good to mint condition. The frets show hardly any signs of play and are correspondingly fresh.
The guitar has been carefully checked and optimally adjusted by us. The neck curvature and string action are perfectly adjusted so that the guitar can be played cleanly and without buzzing across the entire fretboard.
The string action is
2.7 mm on the low E-string and
2.2 mm on the high E-string
measured at the 12th fret.
