Produktbeschreibung

Here we offer a rare Tama 3558S from 1974 – a high-class dreadnought model from the legendary Lawsuit era of Japanese guitar making. It was made in the Tama Seisakusho factory, which later became famous for its excellent drums and built some of the highest quality acoustic guitars in Japan in the 1970s.

The guitar impresses with its solid spruce top and the back and sides made of Brazilian rosewood (Rio), which not only impresses visually with its deep grain, but also sets standards in terms of sound. The tone is powerful, open and rich in overtones – with a fullness of sound reminiscent of high-quality American models.

The fingerboard with elaborate mother-of-pearl inlays, the abalone rosette, the detailed binding and the high-gloss natural finish also make the 3558S a visually special piece. The tuners are from Tama Japan and run perfectly.

The overall condition is very good. There are only minor traces of use, which are normal with age. There is a small hole in the bridge that was once drilled for a pickup system. This is purely an optical blemish. Whether this is sealed or not is at the discretion of the next owner. The guitar comes from first ownership, is technically completely original and functionally flawless. It is supplied in its original vintage hard case.

A pickup is installed. We can’t say which manufacturer it is, but it sounds very good.
