This beautiful Gibson J-200 from 1987 is for sale from our range. The Gibson SJ-200 Super Jumbo, then known as the J-200, is undoubtedly the queen of all flat-top acoustic guitars. Since its introduction in the late 1930s, it has established itself as a standard in popular music and is still one of the most renowned Western acoustic guitars today. This J-200 found its way to Germany after being sold by Matt Umanov Guitars in New York. Its previous owner, a member of the band Dead Star Talk, used it in numerous studio recordings, including the music video you see below. The guitar is in perfect technical condition, free of cracks, breaks or similar. Over the years, it has developed a beautiful patina. Its sound is both woody, warm and brilliant and is immediately convincing. Such a sound can only be found on genuine vintage guitars. The string action is nice and flat with E = 2.25mm and e = 2mm (measured at the 12th fret), which makes it pleasant to play. Apart from the retrofitted LR Baggs Anthem pickup, the guitar is in its original condition. Includes Lifton Historic Brown/Pink Hardshell Case.
